François Leprince
François Leprince Université Laval

François conducted research on the fatigue resistance of high performance steel welded connections of hybrid girder in bridges at Laval University. The research programme involved experimental tests on full-scale welded connections between high performance steel and conventional steel. A case study was also carried out to evaluate the economical viability of hybrid high performance steel girders in bridge structures.

François’ studies were jointly supported by SNC-Lavalin, NSERC and FRQNT
