Wolfgang Rolke, a veteran of the Canadian steel industry, has announced his well-deserved retirement after an incredible career that has lasted nearly 50 years.
Rolke held strong leadership roles during the length of his profession. Before settling into his position as the president at Shopost Ltd. in Winnipeg, Manitoba, he worked briefly at Empire Iron Works Ltd. and the Dominion Bridge Company.
His involvement in the steel industry went beyond his nine to five responsibilities. Rolke was a founding member of the Steel Fabricators Association of Manitoba. Although the association disbanded during his career, his commitment to the growth of the industry remained at the top of his agenda. He was heavily involved with the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) and sat on the board for the Winnipeg Construction Association (WCA).
We wish Mr. Rolke all the best as he begins this new chapter in his life!
