2022 CISC Canadian Steel Conference Call for Abstracts

The Canadian Steel Conference will be held on September 28-30, 2022 at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre, BC. In Vancouver, BC. The Canadian Institute of Steel Construction is soliciting submissions to be considered for technical presentations.  

Abstract submissions are being sought for 35-minute presentations (35-minute presentation 10-minute Q&As) of interest to engineers, architects, fabricator/erectors, detailers and/or general audiences.  

INTENTION TO PRESENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Abstracts must be original and not previously presented
• Abstracts on proprietary products will not be accepted
• Abstracts should be between 50 – 100 words in length in a Word format
• Abstracts must be submitted to the link below
• All correspondence and notifications will be emailed to the main contact who submitted the abstract
• Authors not adhering to deadlines may be disqualified

Abstracts are not considered to be submitted until you receive an email confirmation; if you do not receive an email confirmation, please contact us.

STEP 1: Submit an abstract for review by CISC Steel Conference Technical Committee.

STEP 2:  If your abstract is accepted then submit an outline of your topic (max. 50 words), your biography (max. 100 words).

For the presenter/s, you must also submit:
-A headshot photo (JPEG format in high resolution)
-Their full name/s, title/s and contact info.

STEP 3:  If your presentation is accepted then you must be available to present (see Speaker Travel

Expense Coverage, if applicable) at the conference on Wednesday September 28 or Thursday, September 29, 2022. By accepting CISC invitation to present you accept that your presentation will be recorded to further promote your topic by posting the video and copy of your presentation on CISC website after the Conference.
