  • PART 1 – ULC AND cUL SPRAY-APPLIED FIRE-RATED DESIGNS
    May 2017

This bulletin provides a summary of fire-rated designs featuring spray-applied fire-resistive materials (SFRM) which are valid for use in Canada and are free from ‟load restriction”.

  • PART 2 – BOLT GROUPS SUBJECTED TO AN ECCENTRIC AND INCLINED POINT LOAD
    SDS-2-R1, August 2017
This publication is no longer available and has been replaced with CISC Design Module 1 – Eccentrically Loaded Bolt Groups, available HERE.

  • PART 4 – WELDED SHAPES – PROPERTIES AND DIMENSIONS
    2018

Part Four of the Steel Design Series (SDS-4) provides tables of properties and dimensions for Welded Wide-Flange (WWF) and Welded Reduced-Flange (WRF) shapes, reprinted from the Handbook of Steel Construction, 10th Edition.

  • PART 5 – WELDED SHAPES – 1976 SERIES – PROPERTIES AND DIMENSIONS

Part 5 of the Steel Design Series (SDS-5) provides tables of properties and dimensions for the first series of Welded Wide-Flange (WWF) sections produced to metric dimensions, reprinted from the Handbook of Steel Construction, 2nd Edition, 1976.

  • Part 7 – Beam Load Tables – Rectangular HSS

SDS-7 provides tables for selecting flexural members and estimating maximum beam reactions. The Beam Load Tables for rectangular Hollow Structural Sections (HSS) list the total uniformly distributed factored loads for beams in strong-axis bending. Two sets of tables are provided: one set based on CSA G40.21-350W steel (Fy = 350 MPa) and another based on ASTM A500 Grade C (Fy = 345 MPa). Two design examples are given to illustrate the use of the tables.
