Built in the 1929, Toronto’s Automotive Building was a beautiful Art Deco icon. However, it was time to bring the landmark into the 21stcentury as the state-of-the-art Allstream Conference Centre. There was a major hurdle; the designers’ vision of a grand hall with no columns. Sustainable steel to the rescue! The new long-span steel roof structure is part of the green solution certifying the revitalized building LEED Silver.
